Into the beauty world 

  Hello! Welcome to my beauty treasure chest! My name is  Blanca, and I've been a skincare and makeup user from quite a while now. I started building my collection five years ago, and just like you, I was absolutely clueless about what to buy. Yes, I made lots of mistakes, as you can imagine... But here I am to tell you my experience, hoping that you find it helpful! In this blog, you will mainly find low-cost product reviews, some high-end product reviews –one can have a little treat from time to time– and makeup and skincare advice. I'm no sort of expert and I don't intend to be: I'm no dermatologist or seller, I have no agreement with any brand or particular product. This is just me, a geek girl in her twenties willing to share her beautiful spells with you. 

Some other things about me:

• I use she/her pronouns, as I consider myself a cis woman, but this is a free space for users of any gender identities. 
• My mother tongue is Spanish, but I'm bilingual, and I decided to start this site in English so I could reach a wider audience. Also, I love the English language.
• It may seem surprising, but I'm passionate about books. I write poetry and fiction from an early age. In fact, makeup and skincare are just a hobbie of mine, I don't make a living on them: I'm actually a teacher and PhD researcher on literature.
• As I said before, I'm the nerdy/geeky type. I'm a fan of Disney movies –especially the princess ones!–, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Game of Thrones franchise. I'm in love with Western pop culture, and trying to get into Eastern too! So if you are into one of these fandoms, you may like my site even more, as I will be dedicating some posts to my favourite characters. 
• Some things I can't live without: my dog –animals, in general–, artistic creations of any kind, and chocolate!
